The Area: With so many beautiful ‘places to visit’ and ‘things to do’ in this magical corner of Ireland, we have listed the best options – with the best ‘links’ – to help you plan your stay…but do make sure to leave yourselves at least a day or two to simply relax. You will literally feel the cares of the world drifting away!!

A Note From The Owner: We are delighted that you are considering a visit to this beautiful part of Ireland and hope that we can persuade you to stay at one or more of our properties, here at Westcove. My name is Susannah Adlington and I am a semi-retired portrait artist living in Hampshire, England. The photo to the right is of myself with some American cousins and friends. I am standing at the foot of the stairs next to a portrait I painted of my father in 1962! Although my father’s family have had Irish connections for several hundred years, my parents only bought Westcove House in 1961. Since then four generations of our family have been enjoying holidays here – we just love the place and feel sure that you would too. Indeed many of our guests return to Westcove time and time again – something which we view as the highest form of praise!

We have spent many years upgrading and improving Westcove House, and renovating the Stables, Garden Cottage and Pier Cottage whilst retaining their character and charm. The income we receive from renting out our properties at Westcove, helps with the ever-increasing costs involved with the upkeep of period properties, whilst hopefully enabling us to share this much loved, unique and magical place with others for many more generations to come.

We are aware that you, our visitors, will all have different requirements and interests, so we try to be as flexible as possible to ensure your stay at Westcove surpasses all your expectations.

Michael and Katherine Casey, whose families have always lived in this beautiful part of Ireland, have looked after every aspect of our Westcove properties for many years. Should you decide to stay here, they will be on hand to help in any way required. Katherine is an excellent cook – please have a look at what catering options we can provide.

If you have any questions not answered on the website or would like to know more about any aspect of the properties or the area, I would be delighted to telephone you for a chat – as I have an unlimited call facility worldwide – and I’m always happy to reserve any dates you may be considering for up to a week without obligation to give you time to consult your family/friends before making a commitment!

We are proud to confirm that all our Westcove properties have recently been approved by ‘Failte Ireland’ – The Irish Tourist Board.

We are delighted to be within the ‘Kerry International Dark Sky Reserve’ – one of only three ‘Gold Tier’ reserves on the planet!

Westcove is on ‘The Wild Atlantic Way’ – the longest defined coastal tourist route in the world, winding its way along the spectacular coastline of Western Ireland, from Donegal in the north to Kinsale, West Cork in the south.
